Associate Partner

AT THIS TIME THERE ARE NO OPEN POSITIONS

The Associate Partner Position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with clients in a number of different industries.  Moreover, the associate partner will have access and exposure to senior management starting on day one.  As such clients rely on the associate partners for advice and direction as they grow.  Successful associate partners will accept responsibility for the entire deal process, and will begin to identify new business prospects in his/her chosen industry.  One benefit of working at Veber Partners is that associate partners are given the chance to take on as much responsibility as they can handle.  In short, the position allows a bright candidate to progress rapidly with enormous upside potential. 

The firm seeks highly versatile and motivated individuals who have a broad range of deal experience. Associate partners will be working on the sell-side and buy-side analyzing and modeling M&A transactions, researching prospective clients, preparing and presenting engagement agreements, drafting information memorandums, negotiating letters of intent, handling elaborate due diligence and legal documentation, and helping to negotiate the transactions. The firm is very non-hierarchical and associate partners will be teamed up with partners. Compensation will be competitive for the Portland area and will consist of a base salary plus a cash bonus.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 year's experience in investment banking with a major bracket firm preferably with M&A and/or private placement experience, but this is not an absolute requirement.  Candidates must be enthusiastic about building an investment bank and should have a strong interest in middle market deals. Ideally, the candidate should have related experience and a finance undergraduate degree, although this is not required. Candidates must be entrepreneurial and should have a very strong interest in, and preferably knowledge of, the Northwest.

Analyst

The Analyst Position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with clients in a number of different industries.  Moreover, the analyst will have access and exposure to senior management starting on day one. The analyst position offers bright, ambitious individuals a unique entrée to a challenging career in investment banking.  Both the job demands and learning curve are fast-paced. The primary role of the analyst is to support ongoing transactions by conducting industry research, preparing financial models, writing portions of investment memoranda and performing other analytical work to assist transaction teams. In addition, analysts work with more senior members of the firm to prepare proposals for potential new clients. Superior fulfillment of the responsibilities of an analyst may lead to a promotion to associate after two years. After promotion to associate, the firm’s career path offers potential future advancement to associate partner, partner and, ultimately, senior partner.

 The firm is very non-hierarchical and analysts will be teamed up with partners. Compensation will be competitive for the Portland area and will consist of a base salary plus a cash bonus.
